Andrew, when do you lead top of an internal sequence? I guess never from AQJxx, but what about KJTx? They both look like dangerous leads.

In today’s Level 4 video we say you’d lead the Jack from AJTx, top of the internal sequence but away from the unsupported Ace. I’m confused! What’s best practice please?

Hi Richard, yes AJTx is okay for Notrumps, not for suits, similarly AQJx. You’d not lead either v suits, not at trick one anyway. KJTx is possible v suits as well as Notrumps but, as you say, it is dangerous.

Great lesson, Andrew. 4S is indeed a good shout at Teams (even though it's odds against -- D finesse counteracts C finesse, but then you need a lucky position in trumps). What about Pairs though? Worth staying out of game? And if so, how do you get there?

Thanks very much Tom (Owen), yes it’s a slightly anti-percentage game, but one you can’t really stop out of after South’s (normal) opener.
